May, 1990. Linda Hargreaves, out for a morning jog, is assaulted and stabbed multiple times, saved only by the brave intervention of two young men. Brought in to investigate, WDC Louise Miller discovers grafitti nearby on the public toilets, written in blood that declares 'GRAVEYARD JACK IS BACK'.
Meanwhile, the psychological assessment and trial of serial killer, Ian Peterson, has forced WDC Elizabeth Hines to confront the trauma she suffered at his hands, while also driving a wedge in the relationship of the psychologist and her girlfriend, Louise Miller, pushing it to breaking point. Hines, determined not to let her anxiety and depression get the better of her, seeks the assistance of investigative journalist, and ex-Brooklyn cop, Jack Silverwood.
A tragic death linked to the assault on Linda Hargreaves only adds more confusion into an apparently random crime, and as their investigation progresses, the evidence starts to suggest a darker, more sinister motive...
